In our third year it was great to see growth, but what was also brilliant to see was an increase of 28% in North East nominations as well as a 12% rise in the number of men.
The nominations and this incredible growth show the amazing levels of talent we have and how there’s a groundswell of enthusiasm for driving change in and from the North.
In the past year, we’ve gained campaign support from Jake Berry MP, Northern Power House Minister and The Rt Hon Baroness Newlove who has agreed to be our first trustee.
We also launched NPW Live in Leeds, a day of storytelling through the Northern lens, piloted reverse mentoring, launched a research paper and monthly live podcast recordings hosted by the wonderful Sam Walker.
Collaboration is key to Northern Power Women so we are thrilled to announce a partnership with Manchester Airports Group to accelerate gender equality and championing female talent from the north. We are looking forward to working with such a forward thinking key Northern employer.

We are also joining with Edit Mentoring Exchange to expand our existing services to include peer to peer mentoring and sponsorship to help support our workplaces.
