We kicked off the year by continuing our emphasis on role models, with our participation in the Role Model event with Natwest in January, and our Carousel Mentoring sessions with The Co–operative Bank in March. With many of our later plans de-railed by Covid-19 regulations and restrictions, we quickly set out to equip everyone with the tools to make the most of this time to upskill and grow. In March we hosted a masterclass with Liz Vega OBE, and in May we launched a series of webinars with Lara Morgan, talking about re-building and living to fight another day.
And despite being socially distanced, we have still been successful in fostering countless mentoring relationships. At the start of the year we launched our Two Zero programme, a peer to peer mentoring programme which pivoted into a virtual 6 month programme. In October, we hosted a carousel mentoring event with United Utilities and Northern Power Futures, with a second one taking place in November, and a third session planned for 2021. In December, NPW’s first 12-week mentoring programme launched in which we successfully matched 150 mentors and mentees to pay it forward and share ideas.
