Questions to see things differently

Sometimes you’re just stuck. Like you can’t get a good photo of something and need to find a new angle. The best coaches know what questions to ask to get you unstuck, but what if you don’t have someone’s brain to pick, or there’s no time?
Here are some questions to keep in your self coaching kit bag. Have a great and unstuck week!

What if I only had half the time?
What if this piece of work was a job interview exercise?
What if this piece of work was a fun free time project?
What if I had £20 to spend to help me do my work today?
What if I knew I’d get great feedback for delivering what I instinctively feel would be the right way to go with this project?

What would happen differently if I walked slower and got the next train?
What if all the photos I took disappeared after I’d shown one person?
What if nobody’s opinion of me changed if I wore whatever I was most comfortable and “me” in, all of the time?
What if I only read news stories that weren’t intended to make us judge others?
What if I turned my phone off for a whole evening without telling anyone?

What if this was my last day in this town? (…city, village?)
What if the electricity went off – forever?
What if I was going to meet someone today that would change my life?
What if the thing I always believed to be true could be wrong… and my life be better for it?
What if I have talents I haven’t tried yet?
What’s stopping me?
