My career has been far from conventional – from 17 year old trainee to HR Director, to Director of Yorkshire Water Service Delivery and now CEO and co-founder of AxiaOrigin and Chair of the Board of Phoenix Dance Theatre.
I’ve always had an inner drive within me that’s kept pushing me to give more, learn more and respect everyone. I’m thankfully in a stage of my career where I’m completely in the driving seat. I focus all my energies into three things; building a business with the conditions to get the best from everyone; giving my time to help others develop and succeed; and enjoying life balance.
I love supporting others. I can’t remember when my mentoring started as it’s just become part of who I am. In addition to mentoring women 1-1, I now run a mentoring group in Leeds for female leaders.
I share my story with others with the intention of helping young people see that they have all the talent and wisdom that they need inside them already, and just need the right conditions and support to bring it out.
With my amazingly talented team, I am determined to spend this next phase of my career helping leaders to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and in particular to play my part in reducing inequalities.
