What does Northern Power Women mean to you?

I’m proud to be part of a community of women who support each other to achieve their ambition, whatever these might be.

What is your greatest achievement?

Professionally: creating and driving an award-winning corporate responsibility and community investment strategy for Yorkshire Building Society, and seeing the impact it’s having on our business and our stakeholders. Personally: mentoring women at different stages of their careers and watching them flourish.

Why is it important to champion role models in the North?

Role models help us feel inspired to achieve our goals, motivated to try again when we hit setbacks and supported when we need a boost. The North has got a huge amount of potential and seeing local role models embrace building their careers out of the capital will encourage others to do the same.
